Lisa G. Arrowood, founding partner of Arrowood LLP, has been appointed to serve a six-year term on the Massachusetts Commission on Judicial Conduct.

The Commission on Judicial Conduct (CJC) is responsible for investigating complaints alleging that a state court judge has engaged in judicial misconduct or has a disability which prevents him or her from properly performing their judicial duties. The CJC is also responsible for pursuing, when appropriate, remedial action or discipline against state court judges.

As a state agency, the CJC’s role is to preserve judicial independence and public accountability; provide a fair and reasonable process to address judicial misconduct and disability; and maintain the public’s confidence in the integrity of the judicial system.

“I’m honored to have been entrusted with this solemn responsibility,” said Ms. Arrowood. “The work that the Commission for Judicial Conduct does is critical to ensuring that our judges effectively serve the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I’m committed to executing my duties as a member of this important commission with the utmost care and deliberation.”

In her new role, Ms. Arrowood sits on CJC’s nine-member board consisting of three judges, three lawyers and three non-lawyers. Appointed in January 2025 by the Chief Justice of the Trial Court of Massachusetts, she began her term on February 3.
