Alexa Platt Joins Arrowood LLP

Arrowood LLP is pleased to announce that Alexa Platt has joined the firm as its newest associate. Ms. Platt’s practice focuses on employment law.

“We’ve delighted to welcome Alexa to our team,” said founding partner Lisa Arrowood. “With her diligence and enthusiasm, we know that she’ll be an asset to our firm and to our clients.”

Ms. Platt brings to the firm her experience representing plaintiffs in employment claims involving discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, and wage and hour disputes. As part of a team that tried cases in state and federal court and before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, she was instrumental in securing favorable settlements for plaintiffs pursuing claims.

She also interned for the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges where, under the supervision of the District Chief Judge, she drafted decisions to award or deny benefits for claims under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the Defense Base Act.

Ms. Platt earned her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from The University of Vermont, where she majored in political science.
