Career Overview
Patrick McCooe focuses his practice on commercial litigation and trial strategy. Prior to joining Arrowood LLP in 2025, Patrick served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, and the Boston office of an international law firm.
Over his career, Patrick has successfully represented businesses and individuals in federal and state court, including healthcare, investment management, technology, insurance, and nonprofit firms, as well as a variety of individuals across these and other industries. Patrick has taken clients through all stages of the litigation process; from initial investigation and pleadings, to discovery and motions practice, appeal, and ultimate judgment.
In the course of these representations, Patrick has handled matters involving breach of contract, medical whistleblower, fiduciary duties, class actions, fraud, insurance coverage, and many more. He has also helped his clients seek relief through government agency adjudications, alternative dispute resolution forums such as arbitration and mediation, and conducted internal investigations on their behalf.
Patrick is a graduate of the Boston University School of Law, where he served on the Editorial Board for the Boston University Law Review.
Honors and Awards
- Awarded “Excellence in the Law – Pro Bono Award” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly for securing the release of Fred Weichel, a man wrongfully convicted and imprisoned for more than 36 years for a first-degree murder he did not commit.
