    Career Overview

    Kevin Zipkin focuses his practice on general litigation and medical malpractice. Prior to joining Arrowood in 2022, Kevin worked for a Boston-based defense litigation firm concentrating his practice in the areas of hospital/medical malpractice and long-term care liability. There, he handled complex tort, catastrophic loss, wrongful death, traumatic brain injury, and professional liability cases. He defended skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, and nursing home administrators from claims alleging medical malpractice, negligence, gross negligence, and investigations by the Department of Public Health. He also defended corporations and insurers against consumer protection claims alleging unfair and deceptive acts and practices.

    Kevin has extensive deposition experience including taking, defending, and preparing deponents for party, fact witness, expert witness, and Rule 30(b)(6) depositions. He also regularly drafts and argues civil motions, including complex dispositive motions, and has obtained numerous summary judgments, favorable resolutions, and dismissals for his clients.

    Kevin is a graduate of DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, IL where he received his Juris Doctor degree and Certificate in Health Law and was on the Dean’s List. There, he was a Jaharis Health Law Institute Fellow and served as a research assistant in criminal justice. While a student, he interned and externed at several institutions, including Northwestern Memorial HealthCare’s Office of General Counsel, the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office, and a Chicago-based personal injury law firm. Kevin also earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Health Care Compliance and Regulations.
