    Career Overview

    Alexa Platt’s practice focuses on employment law, where she has represented plaintiffs in employment claims including discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, and wage and hour disputes. She has been part of a team that has tried cases in state and federal court and before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Alexa has also played a key role in securing favorable settlements for plaintiffs pursuing those claims.

    While earning her Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law, she interned for the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges. There, she drafted decisions to award or deny benefits for claims under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the Defense Base Act under the supervision of the District Chief Judge.

    Alexa earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Vermont, where she majored in political science.
